D.J. Mansfield
What set the hook?
In 1997, D.J. was stationed in Sasebo, Japan, when a friend introduced him to the world of scuba diving. After trying it out in a pool, D.J. was hooked. The experience felt both amazing and relaxing, and he soon started climbing the professional diving ladder. Starting with his Open Water Diver certification, D.J. advanced through Advanced Diver, Rescue Diver, and began exploring technical diving and specialties like cavern diving and tri-mix diving. His passion grew, and he decided to make diving his lifelong dream.
In 2009, D.J. attended PADI's Course Director Training Course (CDTC) and became an instructor trainer. Today, D.J. is part of a small elite group of Technical Diving Instructor Trainers on the west coast and continues to discover wrecks and dive sites across the region.
Certifications:
D.J. holds an impressive range of professional certifications through leading dive organizations such as PADI, SDI, TDI, HSA, and SSI. Notable certifications include PADI Course Director, PADI Tec Deep Instructor Trainer, Rebreather Diver, and Trimix Diver. Beyond teaching, D.J. is a certified service technician, holding over 25 certifications in this field.
