Daniel "Hedgehog" Jordan

Daniel "Hedgehog" Jordan

What set the hook?

I was first introduced to scuba diving when I was just twelve years old. The first time I donned scuba equipment, I was immediately hooked and knew that I was destined for a life beneath the surface. As I grew, I dove deeper into the sport, taking many courses and advancing my knowledge, ultimately earning my NAUI Master Diver certification by the time I was 18.

After high school, I began working for a local dive shop, where I steadily worked my way up, becoming a Divemaster and later an Open Water Instructor. During my time as a shop manager, I also earned certifications as an Advanced Open Water Instructor and Complete Nitrox Instructor.

What has always fueled my passion for diving is the incredible privilege of exploring a world that very few people get to experience. The ocean’s beauty, mystery, and wonders are unparalleled, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to share this world with others. As the diving industry continues to evolve, new technologies allow us to dive deeper, safer, and for longer durations, opening up even more of the ocean for exploration.

Certifications:

SSI: AOWI 10363 and ANDI CSUI, SSI: Advance Open Water Instructor ANDI: Complete SafeAir/Nitrox Instructor, Gas Blender, Oxygen Provider, Rebreather Diver level 2, and Technical SafeAir Diver, NAUI Tech: HeliAir diver

Goals:

As a diver, my personal goal is to continuously expand my knowledge and education in the diving field. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey, especially in a dynamic sport like SCUBA diving, where new techniques, equipment, and discoveries are constantly emerging.

In addition to advancing my own skills, I am passionate about passing on my knowledge to those who are eager to improve and become better divers in the future. It’s incredibly rewarding to share what I’ve learned with others and help them grow in this incredible sport.
