What set the hook?
On my quest to conquer my fears and fulfill my dream of swimming with sharks in the open ocean, I took the leap into recreational scuba diving in November of 2012. Diving through the stunning kelp forests, I quickly became infatuated with the wonders beneath the waves. It became my mission to find dive buddies, connect with like-minded individuals, and give back by volunteering for various non-profit organizations.
Within my first year of diving, I joined the California Science Center Dive Team. In addition to being part of the Signature Scuba staff, I serve as a volunteer diver for Reef Check, participate as a Chamber Crew Member for the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber, and am an AAUS-certified scientific diver for SDSU / USC. Every dive brings new challenges and rewards, and I’m constantly growing in my passion for the underwater world.
Certifications:
SDI Scubility Dive Buddy, AAUS Research Diver, and Reef Check NAUI Eco Diver.
Goals:
I strive to be a more knowledgeable diver, dive buddy, and advocate for preserving our oceans for future generations. With this goal in mind, I am constantly pursuing opportunities to learn more about the ocean, scuba diving, and the diving industry. By enhancing my knowledge and skills, I hope to contribute to the health of our oceans and inspire others to do the same.
