What set the hook? 

I got hooked on SCUBA diving after a trip to Cancun. While snorkeling, I saw divers below the surface and instantly knew I needed to be there with them. I came back, got certified immediately, and from that moment, diving became a lifelong passion.

My buddy and I spent many years experiencing all types of diving—deep dives, wreck dives, night dives, photo dives, hunting, fresh water dives, beach and boat dives, and of course, the warm tropical waters. I’ve had surreal experiences diving the warm waters of the Florida Keys, Cozumel, and Hawaii, but there’s just something special about the world-class diving we have right here in Southern California.

After years of diving, I decided to “Go Pro” and pursue my instructor rating. Teaching others to dive has been incredibly rewarding, and I’ve loved every minute of it. The adventure continues, and I look forward to sharing my passion for SCUBA diving with every new diver I meet.

Goals: 

I teach SCUBA diving because I truly love it. The sport, the adventure, and the incredible experiences beneath the surface—it’s a perfect match for me. Teaching allows me to share my passion with others, and I particularly enjoy introducing new students to the wonders of the underwater world. Teaching Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water courses is one of the most rewarding aspects of being an instructor.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting many fellow divers who share my love for the ocean, and we’ve had some incredible group dive trips together. There’s nothing I’d rather do than continue teaching SCUBA and leading dive trips to exotic destinations around the world.

After spending 12 years working for another dive shop that unfortunately went out of business, I’m honored to continue my teaching journey with Signature Scuba. It's a privilege to be part of such an amazing team and to continue sharing my passion for SCUBA diving with new and seasoned divers alike.
